8 Year Old With Perfect Pitch Can Name and Sing Notes in Double Polychords

8-year-old Dylan, son of Rick Beato, has developed the superhuman skill to name and sing the notes in Double Polychords! (That’s 4 quite dissonant triads superimposed and struck simultaneously.) In this video, his father sits him down at the piano and tries to stump him.

In another video, Rick Beato discusses some of the science behind this, and answers the question “can we learn perfect pitch?”

Thoughts:

1.) What if more of us were trained to hear and think fluently in the language of music as Dylan is? Imagine the effect on “popular music.”
2.) What will Dylan’s original music sound like, if he goes on to composing later in life?
