Tamar Halpern and I shot a fun little video for Shawn Amos today. (He happens to be the youngest son of Famous Amos chocolate chip cookie founder Wally Amos.) He was at The Village Recording Studio, which is an absurdly gigantic collection of studios built inside an old Masonic Lodge near Santa Monica. According to their website, “From legends like Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, B. B. King and Bob Dylan to current artists like Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Taylor Swift and John Mayer you would be hard pressed to find an artist who hasn’t recorded here.” There was even an award on the wall for Zappa’s “Joe’s Garage.”
Anyway, Reverend Amos was recording a new song with his band, and we were there to document. Maybe it will be edited into a short doc in the future. We shall see!
