QUESTION: when you write out parts that are typically complex (metric modulation and many n-tuplets), what notation software do you use? the stuff i’ve used (Sibelius, Finale, Guitar Pro) can only handle so much…and I have to do metric modulation as a tempo change w/a calculator.
ANSWER: I have never used anything except for Finale when I was working for Ryo Okumoto. I stay away from notation as much as possible. I have barely done any in ten years. You probably know more than I do!
